(An-Nahl) 16 : 80
And Lord Allah has made for you house a place of rest and made for you from the skins of the livestock tents which you find as lightweight on your day of travel and your day of the encampment; and from fur, hair, and wool are blankets and enjoyment for a while.
Skins and furs of livestock are used for making tents, clothes, chappals, bags, parchment, etc. In the olden days, man used natural materials for clothes and apparel. But today due to the development of scientific technologies, artificial materials are more used than natural materials that are adversely affecting the creatures and nature. See explanation 6: 142; 7: 24-26 and 16: 5-8.
